Historic Halftime Advantage Paves Way to Rout

Mavs Lead Series 2-1

In a stunning display of dominance, the Dallas Mavericks led by an astounding 50 points at halftime en route to a 124-73 thrashing of the Los Angeles Clippers in Game 3 of their Western Conference First Round series on Wednesday night. The 50-point halftime lead is the largest in NBA history, shattering the previous record of 39 points set by the Sacramento Kings in 1999.

Luka Doncic led the Mavericks' onslaught, finishing with a game-high 24 points, 9 rebounds, and 8 assists. All five Mavericks starters scored in double figures, with Tim Hardaway Jr. adding 22 points, Maxi Kleber contributing 19, Dorian Finney-Smith chipping in with 18, and Kristaps Porzingis scoring 16.

The Clippers, meanwhile, were held to their lowest point total of the season. Kawhi Leonard, who had been averaging over 30 points per game in the series, was limited to just 13 points on 5-of-16 shooting. Paul George also struggled, finishing with 12 points on 4-of-15 shooting.

The Mavericks now lead the series 2-1. Game 4 will be played in Dallas on Friday night.
